FAQ

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions and answers for you:

Do I need a license to tattoo?

You will have to check your states laws on tattooing.  In most states you are required to get a license if you are going to tattoo others.  You can tattoo on yourself without having a license.  Be sure to follow the Health Standards and Recoommendations below, to prevent the spread of disease and infections.

What are the Health Standards and Recommmendations for Tattooing?

A tattoo is an open wound, so when you tattoo precautions should be taken to be sure the area is clean, equipment is sterile and all the health standards are followed to prevent the spread of diseases and infection.  Please check out the following link for information on the Health Standards and Recommendations for Tattooing.  These are the rules that are used in New York. I am sure that each state has its own rules, so check with your local state before tattooing others.

How do I learn to tattoo?

Find someone you know that is a tattoo artist and ask him to help you learn the basics.  Look up tattoo videos on YouTube.com and other sites on the internet.  If you know someone that tattoos, have them do a tattoo on you and pick up information on how to tattoo.  Practice on the practice skin until you feel comfortable with the machine.

After I place an order how long will it be before I receive it?

If we receive your order by 3 PM CST during the week, we can get it shipped out the same day. If you order late on Friday and on the weekend, we will not be able to ship your order until Monday.  We send all of our kits 2-3 day Priority Mail with the USPS.  Our smaller orders are sent First Class with the USPS.

What is our policy on equipment returns and waranty of equipment?

You will be responsible for the shipping cost of returning the equipment to us.

Do I get a discount on large monthly orders?

Yes, GIve us a call or email us your monthly supply order.  We will give you a quote and let you know what we have in stock.  If we are out of items you can back order those and pay for them once we receive them.  We can notify you of the shipping date.  We will give you a 10% discount on all commercial supply orders over  $100. (Discount does not apply to tattoo kit sales.)

Why do you sell tattoo equipment to people that are not licensed to tattoo?

Many people are interested in tattooing. We only sell to people that are over the age of 18.  Hopefully they will do their homework and be responsible when tattooing.  Also some people that are tattooing are using homemade machines and non sterile needles.  We want to help educate, and, offer supplies to those people so they can get the best results from using REAL tattooing equipment.  Please see the link above to the New York Health Standards and Recommendations for Tattooing.

By selling kits to people that want to learn to tattoo, they will be able to gain confidence tattooing on the practice skin.  If they are gifted at drawing tattoos and do well  with the tattoo machine they may be able to work at finding a tattoo artist that will take them on as an apprentice.  We want to help make your tattooing experiences the cleanest and the safest for all involved.
